Battersea Square Vets – Terms and Conditions of Business

1. General These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the contract between Battersea Square Vets ("we", "us") and the animal owner or authorised agent ("you"). By registering with us or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Client Registration All clients must complete a registration form and provide accurate contact information. It is your responsibility to keep these details up to date.

3. Fees and Payment

All fees are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept card payments and bank transfer; we do not accept cheques or offer credit.
Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur administrative fees. We reserve the right to refer unpaid accounts to a debt collection agency.

4. Estimates and Costs

Written estimates for treatment or procedures can be provided on request and are valid for 30 days. Estimates are not fixed quotes and may vary depending on the clinical situation.

5. Insurance

You are responsible for settling your account directly with us, regardless of insurance status.
We can assist with insurance claims but are not obliged to do so. Direct claims must be agreed in advance and incur an administration fee.

6. Prescriptions and Medications

We can issue written prescriptions for animals under our care, on request, subject to a fee.
Repeat prescriptions require regular check-ups. The frequency is determined by clinical judgment and type/category of medication.
Medications cannot be returned for refund once dispensed, unless faulty.

7. Consultations and Appointments

Appointments can be cancelled or changed with at least 24 hours' notice. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be charged.

8. Emergencies and Out-of-Hours Care

We provide access to emergency care either directly or via a partner out-of-hours provider. Charges for emergency services may be higher than standard fees.

9. Ownership of Records and Diagnostic Images

Case records including radiographs and laboratory results remain the property of Battersea Square Vets. Copies can be provided to you or another veterinary surgeon on request.

10. Complaints

We take complaints seriously. Please raise concerns with a member of staff promptly. If unresolved, you may contact the a Director in writing.

11. Liability

While we take every reasonable care, we are not liable for loss, injury, or death unless due to proven negligence. It is your responsibility to ensure pets are safely restrained while on the premises.
